Bureau Veritas Powers Up with Solpod Solar

Bureau Veritas Installs 81 Solar Pods

Bureau Veritas has taken a significant stride towards reducing their emissions by installing a substantial 423kW sized solar system on their commodities laboratory situated in Wingfield, Adelaide.  Bureau Veritas chose to power their operations through a Solpod Rental solution, aligned to their property lease.

A total of 810 solar panels were installed across four buildings in Wingfield, with a peak power output of 423kW.

Bureau Veritas is a ‘world leader in laboratory testing, inspection and certification services.’ Rob Tawil, Vice President of Agri-Food & Commodities, Bureau Veritas Pacific Region, said: “At Bureau Veritas, we help companies, governments and public authorities reduce their risks in terms of health, quality, safety, environmental protection and social responsibility.  Being a Business to Business to Society company comes with a duty: to be exemplary in terms of sustainability internally, and to be a role model for industry in this area.

Clean, Sustainable Solar Energy

By installing Solpod Rental on their commodities laboratories, Bureau Veritas will abate 140 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions every year.

The annual emissions savings is the equivalent to:

– Planting 800 trees;

– Powering over 120 houses with clean, sustainable solar energy.

“Occupying greener buildings that are powered by clean, renewable energy perfectly illustrate our commitment to act responsibly in order to Shape a Better World,” said Mr Tawil.

James Larratt, CEO and founder of Solpod said: “We congratulate Bureau Veritas on achieving their sustainability aspirations while making savings through a Solpod Rental.  We look forward to extending these benefits across Bureau Veritas’ broader portfolio.”

Reducing Emissions With Solpod Rental

The 81 solar pods were rapidly installed in only two days.  Solpod prefabricates the solar pods, with our customers benefitting from a fast and efficient installation of their rooftop solar systems.

Bureau Veritas chose a Solpod Rental solution as it aligned with their property lease.  Solpods are fully redeployable, meaning they can be removed and relocated to another location without compromising the solar panels or the roof sheet.

Solpods can be installed on a roof for short or longer term leases dependent on the needs of our clients.  Our Australian Made Solpod Rental solar solution means more businesses can now reduce their emissions and step closer towards their sustainability goals.
